This is an album cover design for Yi-Ting Lu’s latest project, An Unopened Seashell. Inspired by the seashells’ form, the visual language focused on swirls and circulated movements.

Yi-Ting Lu is a Chicago-based composer, and the album An Unopened Seashell includes five solo compositions. It encourages listeners to explore it as they would open a book, immersing themselves in the rich sound world within each instrument. Yi-Ting frequently held seashells to her ears as a child to discover their hidden sounds. She uses this childhood experience to invite listeners to join her in opening an unopened seashell, listening together, and sharing the experience of breathing as one.

The release concert for the album, set for May 11, 2024, will take place at 7 PM on May 24, 2024, at the International Museum of Surgical Science and will be hosted by New Focus Recordings.
